Harvard China Review is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting academic, economic, and cultural exchange between China and the international community. HCR was founded in 1998 by a group of students and professionals in the greater Boston area. In the ten years since its inception, HCR has established a deep-rooted reputation in actively promoting a better understanding of China's progression and international status through HCR's namesake magazine, annual conference, and seminars.

>> Annual Conference

HCR addresses current trends and events in greater details through an annual conference held on the Harvard campus in March. The conference offers a platform for communication and exchange of ideas among business leaders, policy shapers, and leading scholars. Surrounding a central theme, the conference has been thoughtfully divided into different panels including economics, law, society, and education given by influential leaders in these fields. HCR has successfully held 11 conferences in the past.

>> Harvard China Review Magazine

HCR's namesake magazine covers issues pertinent to the transformations of modern China from a historical and international angle, examining the prospects and difficulties China confronts as it rapidly develops into an open market economy. The bi-annual review provides academic scholars, policymakers, and business leaders with insightful analyses regarding the country.

>> Seminar Series

Complementing the magazine and conference is a bi-weekly seminar series. We invite speakers who have abundant experiences in running businesses in China to share their thoughts and opinions with members of the Greater Boston academic and professional community.
